Hello and welcome to our blog! Happy 2009 :)

It was a crazy time at Watchnight and Movie-Makan night, but thank God we got through! Let's thank God for everything He has done for our region in 2008.

Thank God for our YMs, Eric and Judith.
Thank God for our YC, Elizabeth.
Thank God for our net leaders.
Thank God for every one of us.
Thank God for every pre-believing friend we've brought to our nets, The Edge or Sunday service.
Thank God for every fulfilled promise in us.
Thank God for every new vision and promise He has given us.
Thank God for growing our region.

Praise God for every wonderful blessing He has given to us!

We believe He's going to do a great work, greater than ever before, in our region of youths for this generation. Our God uses the small things to show His glory mightier than ever. He's going to use us to show His glory! Let's say yes to Him this new year to claim our promises in Him for our own lives as well as for our generation and our city. Start going deeper and getting involved in His movement through us for this generation. Even the small things count in His kingdom. If you don't have the fire for His promises, ask for His Spirit's help and start doing something that counts :)

Let's get excited about His eternal promises! He's here with us!

Merry belated Christmas! Apologies for the late post and lack of Christmas details :)

Region 9/10 had our Christmas outreach at the Singapore Conference Hall. We had a great lunch provided, anda moving performance by our drama team. Great job to all who performed, and special kudos to our youth dance team!

2009 is coming! Don't miss out on our corporate Watchnight. Busing is provided so contact your YC for details!

And don't forget our annual Movie night! This year after our VFC countdown, we'll be heading to Yishun for a Movie-Makan night. Besides hanging out at the Fusion Youth Hub, we'll be busing to famous food places around Singapore. Sign-up is on a first-come-first-served basis so let your YC know A.S.A.P.!

As 2009 arrives, let's keep praying for God to use us to multiply our nets, region, youth ministry and His kingdom! Start praying for God to give you your 'VIP' list and start praying for your contacts! 2009 is going to be an awesome time of harvest. Don't get left out!

'Tis The Season?

Hey everyone! Welcome to VFC Region 9 and 10 Youths' blog! Thanks for dropping by, and do leave a tag :)

We had a great time at 180 on 30 Nov, with brilliant dances and crazy games and great worship, and amazing responses to the message of salvation. Praise the Lord! Thank God we are part of His great work in this generation and city.

Youth Camp is coming up 8-11 Dec! Sign-up is closed, and look out for details coming your way soon. Please pray for all aspects of the camp, and prepare yourself for a great time of spiritual renewal.

Don't stop praying for your ONE! Remember Jesus thinks that every ONE is worth His love and patience, so keep soldiering on. Keep the syncronised 10pm prayer for your One.

Welcome to the month of December, where Christmas decorations and sales are everywhere and everyone is trying to tell you their meaning of Christmas. As our church has the My Hope Singapore Campaign, grab a prayer guide on Sundays at the counter and put in your prayer effort too! As Christians, let's stand fast and hold tight to the true meaning of Christmas which we live by.

Hello all and welcome to the blog for VFC Region 9 and 10's youths! Hope the holidays have been fruitful so far, and here is a list of events to highlight on your schedule:

On the 30th November Sunday, The Edge will be hosting 180! This will be the loudest, craziest place to be, so don't miss it and do bring your friends! There will be activities at the Fusion Youth Hub in Yishun starting 2.30pm, including express manicures, board games and cafe specials! 180 itself will begin at 6pm with the anticipated inter-region dance competition, drama and of course, fantastic worship.

As the year draws to an end, don't forget your One! Keep them in prayer, and use 180 to bring them to The Edge and introduce them to Jesus :) Keep praying, for God is faithful to hear and His plans for us and our friends are the best. Share your prayers with each other!

And hope you've been keeping up with the FUEL Bible reading plan! It's never too late to start, but there are tons of podcasts to catch up on! Grab your daily podcast from The Edge website and use them well to get closer with God's Word.

And we can't forget Youth Camp 2008! Spanning over 8-11 Dec, we'll be heading to Malaysia for a getaway with God. A new spiritual revival awaits, and good things are in store for us! So sign up now with your YC and YM! And do keep the Youth Camp in prayer.

Hello! Welcome back to VFC Region 9 and 10's YOUTHS blog!

Ok, first off, my computer recently crashed, so if you have any lovely photographs you simply must see put on this blog, do email it to me via my email, and I will promptly post them.

It's great to see so many new tags! Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments. We'll try our best to keep up, but if you're free with nothing to do, you're welcome to help post on this blog :) Details for posting can be found from Charis or Cheyenne.

And here are the latest announcements:

1) Youth Camp is coming up! The long-awaited getaway for a renewal of your relationship with God will be happening around 8-12 December 2008. Sign-up begins in November! So do watch out for more information!

2) Most of us have finished our exams, but do keep in prayer those who are still taking their 'O' Levels and 'A' Levels! Encourage them to do their best!

3) NUS Edge University Campus is still running strong, so for all you Uni students, do take the time every Thursday, to drop by and see what God is doing through us for this generation!

Hey and welcome back to VFC Region 9 and 10 Youths' blog! It's great to see new tags :) Do keep checking out the site and tagging.

Here are the latest announcements:

1) Youth Net Rally is finally coming up! Make sure you check with your net leader when and where we'll be heading for the fun and fellowship!

2) Have you been praying for your One? Don't give up praying and believing God to keep His promises. Remember the One10 synchronised prayer!

3) Keep grabbing your daily fuel! It's what keeps you moving in your walk with God. You know where to get those daily podcasts :) But here it is anyway.

4) Do let God use you in His church, be it at The Edge or in Sunday service. Serving in a ministry spices up your church life! Get interested, and ask around to join the ministries in our church.

5) The Edge University Campus is going strong! Keep them in prayer as God's work in this generation, and do invite your Uni friends.

6) Aaaand Youth Camp is coming up. Keep the second week of December free!

Last but not least, Sunday service is at CCK tomorrow at 11am. Next week, we'll be back at our usual service meeting place.

Hello! It's been awhile, but welcome back to the VFC Region 9 and 10 Youths blog! Drop a tag to let us know you've been here :)

Updates:

1. The Jon Pritikin outreach was on the 13th September! If you missed his amazing testimony, check out The Edge podcast available here, though sadly you will miss out on his crazy, high-level stunts!

2. Youth Net Rally is this Friday, so hang on to updates from your net leader :)

3. There is a corporate youth activity coming up for all you youths! "Where in the World is Jabie Chan" will send us running all over Orchard Road on a photo hunt for, well, Jabie Chan. Make sure you don't miss out on the action, and sign up with your Youth Coordinator (YC) today!

4. The Edge Video Ministry is recruiting! If you are good at editing or directing videos, the Video Ministry is the place for you to serve God. Get details from your YC or any Video Ministry member.

5. And have you been keeping up with the Fuel Bible-reading plan? Grab your daily podcasts at The Edge website! Get a partner to keep up with the plan together :)

6. NUS Edge Campus services are still on every Thursday for all Uni students! Don't miss it!

Updates! For the latest youth event, The Edge had our corporate Sports Day! Well done to all who took time to take part in the running or cheering. We're proud of you and thanks for your time and sweat! Congrats to our youth minister, Eric, who bagged the silver medal for the YM race. No photos available, so remember to always take photos!

Here's what's new at The Edge:

Hope everyone is attempting to keep up with The Edge daily FUEL Bible reading plan. Set aside the time for God to read His Word, and to help you understand each passage better, download the podcasts at The Edge website. Get a friend to encourage each other in finding God in His Word!

The Edge University Campus is being launched on the 28 August 2008, Thurs, 6.30pm, NUS Prince George's Park Function Room 5. Grab all your Uni pals and head there for an awesome time of worship and fun.

Pastor Jeremy Seaward has started his Hostage sermon series, so don't miss it! Log on to The Edge website if you missed it to download the podcast and catch up.

Hello and welcome back! No, our website is not dead. But here are some long-awaited updates :)

First up, a long time ago we had our Corporate Youth Net Rally! After receiving God's Word from Youth Pastor Saula, our region's youths crowded into one room to enjoy a hearty meal from Botak Jones.

Happy National Day! As Marina Bay heated up with the National Day Parade, our Yishun Fusion Hub stirred with our own Edge Parade! It was a fun and hilarious time of celebration, a pity that no photographs were taken :)

At the same time, Pastor Jeremy initiated the FUEL Bible-reading plan. That's right, we're gonna be reading the New Testament as a youth. In aid to your reading, there are gonna be podcasts provided to help you understand and ponder on the day's passage. Make sure you get your Bible-reading plan, and grab your podcasts here. Don't miss out on charging up each day! Encourage each other to read together too!

Next up, the Edge Sports Meet is coming 16 August 2008. Be there to participate and cheer for our region! 12pm at Commonwealth Stadium. More details from your YC :)

Hey all, and welcome back to VFC Region 9/10 youths homepage! It's been awhile since we updated, but here goes:

Our regional youth net rally was a dinner at the Different Tastes Restaurant, celebrating the July babies and having a time of fellowship and fun. This administrator is still waiting for the photographs to come in, so check in for photo updates soon. The dinner ended with a trip to West Coast Park, where we spent time hanging out and resting.

Corporate Sunday saw Victory Family Centre at the Expo Hall, where the church gathered and we remember we're part of the body of Christ, prepared to serve Him and honor Him.

Speaking of serving God, take note of the various ministries you can join to be His hands and feet in the church. As youth, think about chipping in to The Edge ministries, such as the cafe, video, sound, ushering, nursery or worship. Go to your YM and YC for advice and help!

The Corporate Youth Net Rally is coming up! That means performances, anointed preaching and BOTAK JONES! It's going to be awesome, so put some faith into it and invite your One, and your friends. Let's flood the bus and our seats in the hall! Keep praying and it's going to be amazing. Mark your calenders for the 20 July 2008, Sunday 6pm. Take note that The Edge the Saturday before will be cancelled!

Take time to pray for your One. Don't give up, and do share your hopes and testimonies to the youth to encourage and be encouraged :)

In this time of being a Caring Community for our church, remember to set aside a bit to bless someone whom you feel needs encouragement.

Hello and welcome to VFC Region 9/10 youths blog! We've had a few events lately, so for those of you who missed out, here are some updates:

We were at the Botanic Gardens on Tuesday for our corporate youth activity. Big thanks to Elizabeth, Amos and co., who did a beautiful job :) Our youth managed to squeeze in a bit of fun before the holiday ends...

We were the first region to arrive! Completely and utterly punctual! Good job :D More photos at Andrea's blog!

After the Botanic Gardens expedition, our youth trooped down to visit Jonathan. Thank God for a successful operation. Jonathan is now complete!

As the June holidays drew to a close, our youths continued to praise God in net group, The Edge and Sunday service! God bless all of us in the new semester, with better relationships, and blessed exam results.

Don't forget to check out The One blog, and keep praying for your One! God is faithful, so don't lose hope!

Start blessing someone today! Everyday is a great day to bless and witness, so go out there and bless a friend, neighbour, or classmate.

Another week has gone, and here are the latest announcements!

First up: Make sure you're free on 17 June, and join the youth for our corporate youth activity at Botanic Gardens! We are also the region organizing, so don't slack off! Build up teamwork and serve God with E9/10 youths! See you there :)

Our youth pastor has been preaching on being a Disciple of Jesus. For those who missed any one installment of the series, catch the vital part at The Edge podcast!

Beach Party!

Hello! How was our weekend? The region nine and ten youths had a blast at Sentosa, where we had an amazing attendance of over 40 youths from our region! There were games, food, and the right amount of insanity to make the event worth going :) I only have a couple of photos of the last part of the party, when we defied the elements and played Murderer in the sea.

Wow. Looks like baptism class, or a prayer meeting in the sea. :DBut it was a great time of fun in the sun. Check out Andrea's blog here for more photos :D

This Saturday, we'll be at the Fusion Youth Rally. Look out for details on busing! And keep Samuel in prayer for his recovery after his nose operation.

Welcome back! Hopefully most of us have already conquered our exams :) Well done everyone! Before you guys start thinking about how to celebrate during the long weekend, here are some activities we have lined up for us to hang out together.

Friday night, 8pm at Joel Yap's place, we have our regional youth net rally! Don't miss out this gathering of our youths, because it'll be one more step closer to each other and to God.

Saturday: The Edge is ON! Same place, same time, don't miss out. God moves at our youth service, and let's go to receive Him! And of course, to spend time with each other :)

And Sunday, church is per normal, but reminder: Be Punctual. You want to get seats, go on time. See you there!

Now Monday, the wonderful blessed public holiday. Prepare yourself for a leisurely time of fun in the sun with us at Sentosa, starting from 11am. Get more details from your youth minister or net leader. Don't waste time sitting at home in front of the computer or television! Get out and have some fun with real people, and bring your friends!

Besides that, 24 May: remember we'll be meeting for the Fusion Youth Rally, so ask your YM and net leaders about the busing schedule. If you're going for church camp, look out for the programmes in store for you.

Take some time to sit down and care for someone today. And check out this video that reminds us, not everyone knows about Jesus.

Hey everyone! The exams are upon us!

It's the middle of the week, but let's not forget each other in prayer. Pray for our exams! This is the point when our God can show His glory even in the impossible circumstances of our studies!

At the same time, keep our campus outreach in fervent prayer. We've encountered obstacles, but today in faith we believe in His grace, and you're part of the prayer movement! So lift up a prayer today that our God will guide us!

Last week was quite peaceful, and we're getting deeper at The Edge on being disciples of Jesus. So don't miss out! Check out The Edge to catch up on our widely heard podcast! Have a great labour day, and let's look forward to seeing each other for net and The Edge :D

BBQ April 2008!

Hello! Welcome back. Another week has come and gone, and here we are again.

The BBQ was a fun night of food and talk. And a soapy water slide. Sadly, no photos were taken during the BBQ itself. But well done people! With your prayers and strength, we had a total attendance of more than forty people for our region! That's a great encouragement for our region! Thank God for His blessings, and let's keep aiming for His glory. At the same time, let's thank Him for those who put effort in the setting up, as well as the cleaning up. :)

Hello! Glad you took the time to check out our blog. Tag so we can acknowledge you :)

What's new in VFC Region 9/10 youths? First off, we've begun our prayer walks around our campus outreach target school. Even as we pray and dedicate our school to our God, we trust Him to give us a way in. We've been holding our prayer walks together with our net group meetings so far, so make sure you are in the right place for net group!

Second, let's welcome our new friends to our youth! Besides our own friends we bring each time, let's also welcome the new additions to God's Kingdom :D Welcome! God is really multiplying our region! Let's keep praying for each other, and encouraging each other to keep bringing our friends. At the same time, keep praying that our passion will be for His way in our region, for His will.

Today Pastor Jeremy Seaward preached at Region 9/10, and we were blessed! It's great to be a youth :D So check out the rest of Pastor Jeremy's series "Separate" at our VFC podcast.

And don't forget to check out the One blog to get inspired and encouraged. If it doesn't get updated, pray that we'll get un-hacked soon.

Do NOT forget that this Saturday, The Edge is at the Sembawang building, one hour before usual Edge time. There is busing one hour earlier, so don't be late. Hello!

The weekly update has arrived. :D

Youth net rally! Took place Friday, 1 February, at Joel's condo's function room. We played Eric's 1980s game of... Rabbit, Tiger, Eagle and Snake?

Saturday: The Edge busride home was probably our highlight of the night. This is our petition: we need a bigger bus! Please!

And let's all start thinking of ways to serve God, especially in a particular ministry. The Edge video ministry is open for registration, so we can form a Region 9/10 team!
